OEM Licensing Business Models

Idle Network aims to offer flexible licensing business models to account for different use cases. These options include

  1. Per-Unit License

  2. OEM pays $0.10–$5 per device shipped with Idle integration.

  3. Similar to how ARM licenses CPU cores or Qualcomm licenses modems.

  4. Revenue Share

  5. Devices connected to Idle Vaults share yield.

  6. Example: A drone earns $20/month → Idle takes 10%, OEM takes 10%, user keeps 80%.

  7. Hybrid (Most Realistic)

  8. Small licensing fee + ongoing rev share.

  9. Incentivizes OEMs to deploy widely but still gives Idle recurring upside.
